Thanks for this, Tom. But it seems like there must be more to this story: making all these recordings is not cheap and they re surely not bringing in much revenue. Any idea how Hill made his money?

That said, Rodney Whitaker and Michael Dease record on Origin Records, and their Gregg Hill CDs correspond to their regular, annual release schedule. Hill no doubt bankrolls his own label, but probably not for the five on Origin, which I find the most interesting (haven't listened to all 14 yet).
